Talal Itani is an engineer and translator renowned for his contributions to making the Holy Quran more accessible through technology. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Itani pursued engineering, which gave him a solid foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. These skills proved instrumental in his later work translating religious texts.

Adnan Shah is a seasoned IT executive with over 20 years of experience in managing complex IT environments and developing organizational strategies. He served as Deputy CIO for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, leading a team of 200+ with a multi-hundred million dollar budget. Now, as CEO of SAJ Technologies, he drives innovation in cybersecurity, data management, cloud computing, AI, and IT modernization. Adnan holds degrees from Penn State, George Mason University, and an MBA from Georgetown University.

Ali Zahid Raja is a Machine Learning and AI professional with 5+ years of experience. He provides consultation on various topics, including data preparation, model selection and training, evaluation and interpretation, deployment, and best practices for machine learning projects. 

Irfan Malik is an Entrepreneur, Data Scientist and AI Expert actively shaping the AI movement in Pakistan. Despite starting out as an office boy, he fulfilled his vision of starting his own company and became the founder and CEO of Xeven Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Today, the company has offices in several countries, including the UK, USA, UAE and Pakistan.

I hold a doctorate in Near Eastern Language and Civilizations with a specialization in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Harvard University. Prior to my doctorate, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a Certificate in Middle East Studies, and a Master’s degree in Teaching General Arts and Letters with specialization in Arabic and Applied Linguistics from Portland State University in Oregon.

Prof. Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan is currently the Director of Centre for Intelligent Systems and Networks Research (CISNR), and National Centre of AI(NCAI), and Tenured TTS professor at Electrical Engineering Department UET Peshawar. 

Mohammed Basil Altaie is an Iraqi physicist, philosopher, and professor of theoretical physics. Altaie has a notable academic background, having completed his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at the University of Manchester in 1978. He has worked at the University of Mosul and, since 1999, at Yarmouk University in Jordan.

Kashan was the former Head of Human Rights at the Ministry of Justice with over 20 years’ experience in counter-terrorism and international relations. He holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Criminology. 

Noman Noor, was born on November 29, 1987, in Pakistan, and he is currently reside in the bustling city of Karachi. Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for cricket, a sport that embodies both teamwork and strategy and values that he carried into his professional endeavors. He pursued my higher education at Iqra University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering. This academic foundation laid the groundwork for his successful career in technology and leadership.

Abbas Arslan, founder of QuranScape, brings over 20 years of marketing and business experience to the field of Islamic education. At QuranScape, he works with Islamic scholars to provide an engaging and visual way of learning the Quran, using latest Generative AI technology to make the teachings more accessible. His efforts focus on creating a deeper, more meaningful connection between learners and the Quranic text through interactive content. Abbas often shares his experiences and learning strategies at educational and religious conferences, promoting a balanced integration of traditional teachings with innovative methods.

Mr. Azhar Zia Ur Rehman is a distinguished pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence governance, risk, compliance, and culture (AI GRC&C), renowned for his innovative approach in integrating Islamic principles into AI ethics. As an accredited author on technology governance and a seasoned expert in management and technology audit, he brings an unparalleled wealth of experience to the critical intersection of AI and divine ethics.

Dr. Khawaja has a track record of challenging career assignments spanning 35 years in international development, government, academic, and industry settings, including several years of private and public service, and 17 years of World Bank experience in economic growth program providing strategic and technical guidance in developing, managing, implementing, and evaluating development projects across sectors in several countries.

Eng. Omar Qudah is a Data scientist with a master’s in data science and AI, he is also a project coordinator at the AI team within the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE).

Sohaib Saeed is the founder and director of the Ibn 'Ashur Centre for Quranic Studies. After a BA and MSc in philosophy (Edinburgh), he graduated from Al-Azhar (Faculty of Theology, Cairo) in Tafsīr and Quranic Sciences. He then completed his PhD at SOAS, University of London; the book based on his thesis is forthcoming from Edinburgh University Press: Explaining the Qur’an Through the Qur’an. He is presently engaged in an innovative Quran translation project based on the work of Muhammad al-Tahir Ibn 'Ashur, and cooperating with Quran.com on their digital content.

Dr. Waleed Kadous is Generative AI lead at Canva. He leads the company’s LLM efforts. Prior to Canva, Waleed worked at startups and Uber, where he led overall system architecture, evangelized machine learning, and led the Location and Maps teams. He previously worked at Google, where he founded the Android Location and Sensing team, responsible for the “blue dot” as well as ML algorithms underlying products like Google Fit.
